Why Must We Live in the Spirit?

But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

It would be best if you lived in the Holy Spirit. If you do, your selfish desires that always fail will no longer rule over you. Put your life every moment in the Lord's hands, and He will complete you and give you an abundant life. Holy Spirit counsels you, intercedes for you, strengthens and guides you. He is always on your side and is your standby!

Listen to the Holy Spirit who lives inside you because you belong to Christ. Ask for His guidance at the start of each day and throughout it. He loves you and desires to make your life prosperous. Live by hearing, feeling, and knowing Holy Spirit's instructions to bring health to your soul and body. When days of trouble arise, He will arise in you with wisdom and comfort to see you to a victorious end. Whenever you are afraid, trust in the Lord. Listen to Him, and you will block the devil's fiery darts.

Don't say, "I'm too busy. My life is too hectic to slow down and listen." God knows all your details. Make your plans and form relationships by consulting His Spirit. His wisdom will help you navigate your life as danger lurks at every crossroad. You can avoid mishaps and detours if you stop and listen to the still, small voice of the Lord. Be sensitive to his nudges to grow in His knowledge and experience more of His freedom and peace. Holy Spirit wants to align you with God’s timing, so join your life with His and enjoy him move through you.
