Praise Before You Panic

God’s high and holy praises fill their mouths, for their shouted praises are their weapons of war! These warring weapons will bring vengeance on every opposing force and every resistant power.

Psalms 149:6-7 (TPT)

The sound of praise carries mystical power. It can penetrate the unseen realm where the source of your problem lies. Does the spirit of fear frequently visit you? Inferiority, worry and doubt all rolled up as fear flattens your zeal and faith. You have a weapon that can disperse it if you have a mind to use it.

David knew a thing or two about the power of praise. As a young man, he could strum his harp and bring deliverance to King Saul’s torment. The Psalms are full of declarations of praise to God. But they are often not sweet whispers as you might expect but loud triumphant shouts. Praise can rout the devil from your life, but you must not be timid in sounding it out.

In the natural world, a singer can shatter glass. High-powered sound waves that pierce eardrums cause severe pain that disables any foe. If this is possible in the natural, what of the spiritual world? It’s not a stretch to see how the sound of praise to our almighty God paralyzes our enemy, who roams around seeking whom he may devour.

Jesus, the Lion of Judah is within you, beloved. When he roars through you, the devil flees. Don’t hold back. Shout unto God with a voice of triumph. Learn to praise before panic consumes you. You will experience that your voice carries authority, and carried away by it, is the devil.
