On Whose Side Are You On?

But, of course, there must be divisions among you so that you who have God’s approval will be recognized (Cor. 11:19)!”

In today's political climate, "nice" people tiptoe around each other's opinions. Politics and religion are taboo within their conversations when others in the room or on Facebook do not agree. So, where do you line up? Do you keep silent because you are a nice person and do not want to further the divide? Or will you use your prophetic voice like a trumpet to warn and to lead? "Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." All the people saying, "Look how divided we are now!" fail to realize it's always been this way. The question is not, "Is the Lord on my side?" but rather, "Am I on the Lord's side?"

Jesus Christ did not come to earth to bring peace, as so many people think. He came to bring division. He divides the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the tares, and the spirit from the soul. Read the gospels and discover that Jesus never sought to be "politically correct." He spoke the truth, and the chips did fall. He clearly said that His Kingdom was not of this world. His disciples are of not of this world though they live in a world that daily propagates the lie and uses whatever means it can to do so. All of humanity remains divided until all unite in Christ as His disciples and become one new man.

The things that Jesus said ruffled the feathers of many people. He is the "rock of offense," and yet He said, "Blessed is the one who is not offended by me." The truth is what sets you free is not a lie. A lie spoken over and over again is still a lie. The upcoming election is the most important of our lifetime. The majority of Christians do not show up on Election Day. If you want to see your country preserve religious freedom, go to the polls and vote! If you are a Christian, vote your conscience. I am voting for the platform that stands for unborn babies' lives and the babies who survive the disgusting abortion procedure. I am voting for the platform that blesses Israel because scripture tells us that those who bless Israel will be blessed (Genesis 12:3). I am not voting for the personality or sinful nature of the candidates. The man in the office will pass away, but what he vetoes and his executive orders can last for a lifetime. May the Lord have mercy on America.
