Don't Despair, God Does Care

A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!

John 10:10 (TPT)

We have entered a new year, but I would ask you to look over the previous year of your life as you enter 2023. What do you see? But more importantly, how do you interpret last year? Is it with shame, disdain, or from the window of the glory train? If you describe it as “a year of fear,” you can still go into a new one with hope for a life bright with expectation for breakthrough and new birth.

The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.

It is through this lens that you must view your relationship with the Lord. Whatever you think is contrary to that truth bring it down to the ground and stomp on it. What are you seeing for your life? What dreams are you experiencing and how do understand them; with fear or through the eyes of God’s love? The devil is at work to harm you, and His greatest triumph is when you give God credit for his harm.

Do not be left behind. Honor God with your thoughts and actions. You dishonor Him by thinking He is the cause of your misery and “hard luck.” You may not understand why, but in the midst of whatever you are dealing with, trust God to direct your paths. He will lead you onto a righteous path shining every brighter into your future. If you think you are going through hell don’t stop to make camp. We are in a new year, and that means we all must make a shift, which may start out unevenly but can end with stability. Hopefully what you move into is what you want because you’re running whether you like it or not!
