Bull's Eye!
He made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand, he hid me;
he made me a polished arrow; in his quiver he hid me away.
Isaiah 49:2 (ESV)
The Bible is a war manual. Don’t lull yourself into thinking otherwise. Remain vigilant, for your adversary roams around you, seeking an opportunity to catch you off guard. If you devote yourself to chasing after feelings this time of the year, you are an easy target. Stay sharp and alert because Satan’s lullaby is always playing in this world. It makes you indifferent to the state of what is happening in our country and the eternal destinies God chooses for us.
Like Isaiah of old, let our declaration be “God has made me a polished arrow.” Though He hides us in His quiver, we are not asleep. We wait expectantly for Him to take us upon His bow to hit His target precisely. As we continue to submit to His will and not our own, He buffs out those bumps and rough patches that create friction in our lives. Our prayers hit the target, and our words, once released, tear down evil and build up good. His words become our words that are sharper than any two-edged sword.
Our nation is at a crossroads. How many changes have you seen over the past two years? December is a dark month, and we see it clearly as believers elect political candidates supporting child sacrifice and immoral living. The ancient god of Baal, represented as a bull, must come down in our country. Child sacrifice fuels his power. Are you a warrior for our Commander in Chief? Stay hidden in God’s quiver until He sends you out with a voice to strike the bull’s eye!
