Choose Happiness

I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before thee life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore, choose life, ... to love Jehovah thy God, to obey his voice, and to cleave unto him; for he is thy life. Deut. 30:19-20 (ASV)

Are you happy? Happiness for many comes in fleeting moments like the snapshots of a camera. Events come and go and with them happiness or grief appears. Is it possible to maintain happiness in life? If we have a depressed nature can we change?

True science always confirms the Bible. Neuroplasticity is the discovery that our brains can change. God created our brains with an ability to form new connections and pathways to compensate for the bad things that have come into our lives. Jesus makes all things new, even our brains! If you entered the world with a frown there is hope for you.

Happiness is a choice and it begins by laying down your life with its sin nature and selfish orientation and giving yourself away to Christ. Happiness is a by-product of holiness. I do believe happiness is in the moments of life. In every moment choose life. In every moment choose blessing. In every moment choose gratitude. In every moment choose Jesus!
