Your Hidden Identity

…but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious

(I Peter 3:4).

God knew you before you were in your mother’s womb. God chose you in Christ before the foundation of the world. To identify the true person that God chose you must know who you are in Christ. He has blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Focus on the fact that you did not choose God rather God chose you. Shifting your focus to God and what He did for you will open you up to accepting your true self.

Tell yourself “God chose me.” Meet that person. Speak to that person. Get to know the person of Jesus, and you will reject the false person who is afraid and secretive and who walks in rejection. God is light, and there is no darkness in Him. The hidden person of your heart desires to walk in the light. You hold the key to allow this real person to emerge out of darkness into God’s marvelous light to show forth His glory.

Sin perverts to veer us from the original path God chose for us to walk. If we identify with sin, we will fail to reach our destinies in Christ because we will step on the wrong paths of life. If we focus on our sinful self, we do not focus on the person that God chose. Jesus chose you to live for Him. Trust Him. Focus on His love and the sacrifice of His blood to take away your sin. When we change our minds and believe God chose us to lay down our lives for His sake our lives will manifest His glory.
