Agree With God

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure (Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT).

"Why don't we agree to disagree” is never a question but rather a need to keep things as they are without having to change one’s point of view. Though some hold to it for social graces, such a suggestion merely ignores the conflict and by no means pursues peace with it.

God holds many views, which are truths that you may choose to ignore. You may prefer to “agree to disagree” with God because you just cannot bring yourself to believe deep down what He feels about you. The following are only a few of the truths that God thinks about you that you may deny. God is your Father, and He chose you in Christ before the foundation of the world. God knew you before you ever came to be. He forgave you through the blood of Jesus shed for you before time began. God fearfully and wonderfully made you. Jesus is your friend. You are the light of the world. God is working in you both to will and to do His good pleasure. You are never alone. God fully accepts you in His family. He has plans to bless you and never to harm you.

Who is anyone to tell God that He got it wrong? Take a close look at how you see yourself. Do you agree with what God believes? Your thoughts and your words are a good indication of where you line up. Jesus is the Truth. You can disagree with Him but know in doing so you are resisting who He made you to be. Receive what already belongs to you through Jesus the Christ, and you will discover who you are.
