You Are Mine
Father... I have revealed you to the men and women that you gave to me. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have fastened your Word firmly to their hearts…. 9 So with deep love, I pray for my disciples... 10 For all who belong to me now belong to you. And all who belong to you now belong to me as well, and my glory is revealed through their surrendered lives. John 17:6-10 (TPT)
A man is born for adversity, so says the book of Job. The life of a righteous person is full of trials, so when they come, don’t be surprised. Learn to roll with the punches when things don’t turn out like you want them to to resist disappointment. Never forget that Jesus has you because the devil’s go-to weapon is discouragement.
Jesus is praying for you, Beloved. Pin the words “I belong to Jesus” to your heart. His love for you is deep. He calls you, His bride. He is not ashamed to call you, His brother. The word of God is like honey. It is an apt antidote for the bitter words spoken over you in the past, the present, and yes, even the future. The Father did not create us to live in a fallen world. Our souls lack the strength to face the effects of sin. But we have Jesus, and as we rely on His love, He will get us through to the other side.
The glory of God shines through surrendered vessels. Submit to God disciple of Christ. Humble yourself before Him. Then rise and resist every lie of the devil. Break the curse spoken over you. Adjust your thinking to Christ’s thoughts. The only thing that matters is what He thinks of you. And He is thinking, “You are mine.”
