The Battlefield of Life

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Psalm 147:3 (ESV)

The battlefield of life can intensify at any given moment. The devil knows his time is short, so his strategy is to wear out the saints. We must learn to fight the good fight of faith when sudden trials come our way. Compounded attacks can wound us and cause us to doubt the Father's love for us. We must be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. How do you think Jesus bore up under the torture of the cross? The Father infused him with divine strength.

No doubt our nation has suddenly morphed into something that many of us no longer recognize. What I see today reminds me of the prophetic words of Psalms 2. Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, "Let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us." And yet we read further that God sits in the heavens and laughs at them. The joy of the Lord must be our strength during these troubling times.

The Lord will come to us and heal our broken hearts. He will bind up our wounds on the battlefield of life. We must be willing to repent from the vain things or ways of thinking that contributed to our pain. He will avenge us from every attack of the devil. He is coming to console us to give us beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning. Open wide the gates of your heart to receive it!
