Doubt and Unbelief Misaligns You

“What do you mean, ‘If I can?’” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:23-24 (NLT)

Jesus assured us that as we seek first His Kingdom living a righteous life, He would fulfill our needs on earth. To live out your authentic self in Christ is to discover you are a person of faith. The currency of heaven is not the same as that of earth. We trade in faith to receive from God’s storehouse.

Jesus told a grieving father that He could deliver His epileptic son if he could only believe. The question is not if Jesus can, but rather can we believe despite all the odds. Doubt and unbelief blind our eyes to the riches in Christ’s glory. We cannot enter in His rest because of our unbelief.

We must cry out, “Lord, I do believe but help mine unbelief.” We serve a merciful God. As we rid ourselves of pretense and embrace our weak faith, we can find help. Taking off the mask of doubt and unbelief is essential to see God. A hard heart will block you from receiving the goodness of the Lord in every situation.

The devil trades in deception. The deceit of sin hardens your heart. Keep a check on your thoughts. Align them with the goodness of God. No longer halt between two opinions. Make your stand for what you need and believe that a righteous man lives by faith! No longer will you have a double mind, and you will walk on a level path ready when the devil strikes!
