Angels on Our Side

Bless the LORD, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word,

heeding the voice of His word. Psalms 103:20 (NKJV)

The Bible refers to angels a lot! The New Testament alone mentions them over 190 times. Humans rarely see angels, which makes them mysterious and, for many, a farce. Preachers rightly warn us not to worship them, leading many in the Body of Christ to shy away from their reality. Are you a truth seeker? Do the words of God abide in you? If so, you know or will come to see the necessity of angels in winning the spiritual battles we all face.

If you are asleep to the spirit realm surrounding all of us, the enemy has a significant advantage over you. While you are "sleeping," the devil is busy. He plants weeds in your heart as he is a masterful thought leader. His deceptive influence is pervasive. He marks both you and our country for destruction. God says, "Do not be deceived: Bad company ruins good morals. Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning (1 Corinthians 15:33-34 ESV)."

Angels are mighty for a reason. They are conquerors of spiritual darkness that empower human beings to do the will of Satan. Prayer is a divine weapon that pulls down these strongholds of evil. Angels heed the voice of God's word. They respond to spiritual authority. Fill your mouth with the truth of God's word and use it as a weapon of warfare. The angels are by our side, beloved, to help us take back what the devil has stolen!
