Wake Up to Mercy and Grace
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV).
Sometimes just getting out of bed is a triumph. The day begins, and you want to stay comfy under the covers. You awake for a reason, people are counting on you, and God has something great for you to be! The Christ in you faces each day expectant, living in rhythm and sync with the Holy Spirit. The mercy of God grants you each day, and it is His grace that sees you through it. God’s mercies are new every morning, and it’s a good thing too because, without His mercy, we are of all men most miserable.
Don’t get out of bed without calling on the mercy of God. His mercy will cover and protect you for whatever the day may bring. His presence gives you the grace to live well to ascend despite the gravity of living on planet earth. Rise and shine in the new man and put off the old man of the past who disregarded Christ and took hold of none of His mercies.
Greet mercy and grace each morning. You will need grace today in line at the grocery store. She will bless you, sitting at your desk and will help you through your interview. Mercy will beam on you when though you fail you get a second chance. Grace will keep you smiling when you want to frown. Today is the day the Lord has made, and you can rejoice and be glad in it because of His mercy and grace!
