The Balancing Act of Christ
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light

Stress, who can live without it? Heaven is the only place where it's non-existent. In Christ, we can experience heaven on earth. If you know that physical, mental, or emotional difficulty is taking its toll on you, that ’s half the battle in alleviating it. If you normalize yourself to intense levels of stress on a day-to-day basis, you can make yourself sick both mentally and physically. Medication may be a short-term answer, but meditation is a long-term solution.
Jesus invites all to come to Him. He bids all to open the door of our hearts so He can go in and affectionately commune with us. Do we take Him up on His open- invitation? Jesus will not overstep our boundaries or trespass against our wills. So He beckons us to come to Him. He especially calls those who are weary and heavy laden to give them rest.
Jesus has a balancing act. It is His yoke that we must take from Him. He will not force it upon us; instead, He waits until we stop and quiet our souls to receive it. Once we accept His yoke, it immediately goes to work to stabilize our thoughts and emotions. The weight of the world is taken off our shoulders as He gently guides us to make wise choices of both life and blessing. What a joy to experience the love of Jesus.
Look up my friend because there is a door that stands open in heaven. Listen as He says “come up here.” Heaven awaits you! In Him, you will respond to stress differently. You will see it from the perspective of heaven, which makes all the difference in the world.
