Think Like A Son

…for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith (Gal. 3:26).

As a man thinks in his heart, so He is. What you believe about yourself determines how you will treat yourself and how you will treat others. In Christ, through faith, we are all sons of God. When we are born again, God becomes our Father, and Jesus becomes our brother. We become a joint heir with Christ to an inheritance we will possess because the Holy Spirit within us guarantees that we will obtain it. The Holy Spirit seals us and works in us even when we are not aware of His work He is forming us into the image of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Step over into son-ship. If God calls us sons, we must respond to His call and be sons. We cannot earn son-ship. We are because Christ is. Sons know their father as Jesus knew His Father. What is the image you have of a loving Father? What are the attributes of the “Dad of the Year”? God is all that to you and more. Draw near to God as your Father, and He will draw near to you as His son.

Sons belong with sons. God house is a house of sons, not slaves. Plant yourself in a place of ministry surrounded by transparent, accessible and expecting sons of God. The thoughts of those around us should build us up as sons rather than tear us down to a slavery mindset. The Hebrews believed maturity came from developing healthy relationships with people. The body of Christ joins us to each other so we can help one another grow and reach our destiny on earth for the glory of our Father. Love is what makes us a son and loving others as we love ourselves will flourish and keep us in the Father’s forever.
