Take Heart In Your Journey
"Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."
(Deuteronomy 31:6)
When we turn our lives over to Jesus we begin a journey to know Him and experience eternal life. We relinquish the controls over our own life and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and direct us according to God’s plans and purposes. Every child of God has purpose and is a gift to mankind. We enter into a covenant with Jesus Christ forsaking our covenant with the world and the things of the world. As this takes place we are able to take off into the destiny that God planned for us before we were born.
To know Christ is to know yourself. Many people that profess Christ do not know Him in truth but as a tale that is told. He is a fantasy and therefore they live out a fantasy in their own life. What roles do they choose? Religious roles are hard to follow because they demand you to work hard and live in pretense. Easier roles to follow include a pie-in the sky mentality where you choose to live anyway you want and you know you’ll get to heaven because you “believe” Jesus died for you.
There are no roles to play for the follower of Christ. We cannot play act or try real hard to be a Christian we just are because Christ is. We die so He can live within us. He shows us the way. We are blind and yet we see for in Him we have light. He sees for us and we put our eyes on Him as we navigate this world of fear and difficulties. This is our path that shines brighter till the full light of day when Christ shall appear and we will be like Him for we will see Him as He is.
